- Pickup
Hotel pickup in Cusco's historic centre.
- Qorikancha
Qorikancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun, later built over by the Convent of Santo Domingo — the clearest place in Cusco to see Inca stonework and Spanish colonial construction stacked on top of each other.
- Sacsayhuamán
Sacsayhuamán, the massive hilltop fortress complex above the city — also the esplanade where Inti Raymi, the Inca Festival of the Sun, is reenacted every June 24th.
- Q'enqo
Q'enqo, a carved ceremonial rock complex with a small internal cave and altar, believed to have been used for ritual and astronomical observation.
- Puka Pukara
Puka Pukara ('Red Fortress'), a compact military and checkpoint site above the city, with wide views over the Cusco valley.
- Tambomachay
Tambomachay, the 'Bath of the Inca' — a series of aqueducts, canals and waterfalls built into the hillside, and the tour's highest and final stop.

Return to your hotel in Cusco.
Altitude & fitness
Who should not do this tour.
The most credibility-building paragraph on a Cusco tour page is the one that tells a buyer to walk away. This is that paragraph for the cusco city tour.
- If you have not spent at least two nights in Cusco before the tour, this day is not for you.
- If you have a heart, lung, or blood-pressure condition, the altitude is a medical decision, not a travel one — talk to your doctor first.
- If you are pregnant, the operator will not run the day. We will not pretend they will.
- If the only thing you want is the photograph and not the day, hire a photo operator in Cusco plaza for a tenth of the price. We are not it.

- This is an easy half-day, mostly on foot around paved sites and short trails — no real climbing, and no altitude gain beyond Cusco itself (the city already sits at 3,399 m). Accessible for older travellers and children.
